Babywearing Training for Perinatal Professionals
Facilitated by Amber Chaves, Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Expand your professional knowledge in the area of babywearing as a perinatal professional to better support your client's pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey as they bond, attach, and physiologically enter a dyadic relationship through skin to skin contact. In this 5 hour workshop you will receive hands on training by a pediatric occupational therapist and certified babywearing educator on the guidelines and safety of optimal babywearing, infant hip and spine development, breastfeeding and babywearing, postpartum recovery carrying, multiples and wearing, children with special needs and carriers, how to use all main categories of baby carriers, babywearing by seasons, and the history of babywearing. This class is ideal for doulas, midwives, lactation consultants/counselors, baby nurses, pediatric OTs/PTs/SLPs, and anyone looking to provide more parents with support around the aspect of babywearing and its benefits on attachment and development.
